Welcome to the Glen Cairn Community Association
In 2003 we moved away from quarterly meetings with the provision for special meetings if the need arises to deal with any city related issues that residents want tabled. Our emphasis as a group is to focus on the continued development of special events such as Kanata South Days, A Safe Halloween, and Christmas in Glen Cairn, Hockey Day in Kanata and and other initiatives. We will continue this schedule until further notice.
Official Supplier Status Program is now in effect. More about Official Supplier Status
The GCCA is planning several events in our community this year and would like your help if you are able to volunteer in any capacity. Check News and Calendar for upcoming events or contact us with your suggestions for events and meetings. We also hope we can count on your support!
We sponsor awards for residents of all ages. Please consider nominating someone you know by contacting the GCCA and watch for details on the next award ceremony.
Glen Cairn’s Caring Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Bring the entire family on Thursday, November 26 at 6pm and help us light up the sky. Enjoy some snacks and hot chocolate. Courtesy of our good friends at Christmas Décor. The Glen Cairn Community Association are fortunate to have community minded business people like Thom Bourn who is once again generously donating thousands of Christmas lights and manpower at the Glen Cairn Tennis Courts on Castlefrank Road.
We are encouraging all visitors to visit the Caring is Sharing website.

Hazeldean Mall connects with community through digital signage
Posted by News Bot September 11, 2012
The Glen Cairn Community Association has access to three large screen displays inside Glen Cairn. These community displays have become a fund raising opportunity as well as an opportunity to promote our community events and city of Ottawa public service announcements to the public. We are now able to offer our local business supporters an inexpensive way to promote their business on these displays as a thank you for supporting our association. Hazeldean Mall is a community based mall and has been one of the GCCA’s biggest supporters. In Kanata South displays can be seen inside the Hazeldean Mall at the Food Court, Don Cherry’s and Rockin Johnny’s Diner. If you have a ‘not for profit’ community event that you would like us to promote on these displays contact us at email@example.com or call Rob at 613-794-2464.
